NFI Massachusetts Inc., a leading non-profit human service agency, is seeking a Board-Certified Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our adolescent intensive residential treatment programs in Westborough, MA. Position Details
Part-Time: Seeking a 20-hour per week psychiatrist, with on-site presence preferred three days per week
Opportunity for an additional 10-hour consulting/supervising psychiatrist role for a total of 30 hours per week
Standard hours: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
After-hours phone consultation on a rotating, on-call basis
Program Overview Our co-ed, secure residential programs serve 30 adolescents who are working to overcome serious emotional disturbances to reunify with their families and transition back to community living. These programs are licensed by the Department of Mental Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. As the Psychiatrist/Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in providing mental status examinations, medication management, and ongoing psychiatric care in collaboration with a psychiatric APRN.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and provide medication treatments
Lead all aspects of psychiatric care within the program
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including program managers, nurses, clinicians, occupational therapists, and residential staff
Offer staff training and consultations to enhance the understanding of medications and mental health
Provide support and consultation to staff, youth, and families
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry (fellowship completed)
Unrestricted medical license in Massachusetts, along with DEA and MA Controlled Substance certificates
Experience working with adolescents in a residential or inpatient setting preferred
