The University of Connecticut School of Law invites applications from entry-level and junior-lateral candidates in their first or second year of law teaching for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position commencing in the fall of 2026. Candidates must be interested in teaching Legal Profession, and preference will be given to applicants who also have curricular and scholarly interests in Constitutional Law, Torts, Evidence, and/or Criminal Law. We are especially interested in receiving applications from candidates with experiences, backgrounds, and viewpoints that will enrich the diversity of our faculty and community.
UConn Law School is the top-ranked public law school in the Northeast, offering a professional education and scholarly environment of the highest quality. Its beautiful Gothic Revival campus is located in the West End of Hartford, a few miles from the state capital and courts, as well as the headquarters of leading insurance companies and other major corporations. The successful candidate will teach one or two courses per semester; advise students on independent projects; and publish first-rate scholarship. As a member of the Law School faculty, the successful candidate will participate in faculty governance via committee work; participate in national organizations related to their pedagogical and scholarly interests; present their research at national, regional, and local conferences and other events; and perform related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A JD. and/or Ph.D. degree from an accredited institution or equivalent terminal degree in a related field.
Evidence of strong written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated capacity for scholarly excellence.
No more than two years in a tenure-track position on a law school faculty.
Willingness to teach Legal Profession.
Demonstrated commitment to advancing equity, inclusion, and belonging in the workplace, higher education, and/or legal profession.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Published work that demonstrates scholarly aptitude, productivity, and long-term promise.
Active participation in relevant scholarly and/or professional communities.
An emerging reputation in the candidate?s field of expertise.
Demonstrated capacity for effective law-school teaching.
Willingness to teach Constitutional Law, Torts, Evidence, and/or Criminal Law.

This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position.
