Job Description and Duties

Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 4, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 hours PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. Part-time employees are subject to the same conditions as full-time employees, on a prorated basis equivalent to their time-base. Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full-time employees, based on the number of hours worked in the pay period.

Under direction, the Office Technician (Typing) is responsible to provide clerical support to a wide variety of programs.

There are 2 available shifts that are being advertised for in this recruitment:
Sunday - Thursday (1:00 PM - 9:00 PM)
Tuesday - Saturday (1:00 PM - 9:00 PM)

Minimum Qualifications:

Possession of a typing certificate with a minimum speed of 40 WPM issued within the last four years that meets the State Personnel Board requirements is required.

AND
Either
I:

One year of experience in California state service performing clerical duties at a level of responsibility equivalent to that of an Office Assistant, Range B.
