The Campbellsville University Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) Program invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative faculty committed to academic excellence, professional formation, and the integration of Christian faith within systemic and relational approaches to therapy. 

This position includes teaching in both the Master of Marriage and Family Therapy (MMFT) and the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Marriage and Family Therapy programs, providing clinical supervision, and serving on doctoral dissertation committees. 

Location: 

Campbellsville University – Louisville Center (with potential teaching responsibilities at additional sites or online) 

Primary Responsibilities 

• Teach graduate-level courses in the MFT master’s and doctoral programs 
   

• Provide clinical supervision to MFT students in compliance with AAMFT and state standards. 
   

• Serve as chair or committee member on doctoral dissertations. 
   

• Engage in scholarly research and publication within the field of MFT. 
   

• Participate in departmental and university service, including program development and assessment. 
   

• Support the mission of Campbellsville University through integration of faith and learning in teaching, supervision, and mentoring. 
   

• Contribute to the continued growth and accreditation efforts of the MFT program. 
   

Required Qualifications 

• Terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field, preferably from a COAMFTE-accredited program. 
   

• Licensed or licensure eligible as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Kentucky. 
   

• AAMFT Approved Supervisor or AAMFT Supervisor Candidate status. 
   

• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness at the graduate level. Online instructional experience is preferred 
   

• Evidence of scholarly activity (e.g., publications, presentations, or ongoing research). 
   

• Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural humility in clinical and educational settings.

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with COAMFTE accreditation standards and assessment. 
   

• Experience in doctoral-level teaching, mentoring, and dissertation supervision. 
   

• Ability to integrate faith and systemic thought in teaching, supervision, and scholarship. 
   

• Familiarity with online learning platforms and hybrid course delivery.
