The Department of Psychological Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Connecticut invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor for the Fall 2025-Spring 2026 academic year.

The Department of Psychological Sciences is committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education. The main campus in Storrs is home to almost 20,000 undergraduate students. Psychological Sciences is one of the largest majors in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, with almost 1500 majors.
Candidates with a background and teaching experience in different fields are welcome to apply. Teaching will focus on Introductory Psychology and Statistics, and Methods classes. The successful candidate will teach 7 courses per year.
The successful candidate will provide a teaching portfolio for review that demonstrates expertise in instructing a diverse range of undergraduate students utilizing active and inclusive pedagogical practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. in Psychology conferred by the start date.
Experience teaching, with the ability to teach Introductory Psychology, Statistics, and Methods.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Evidence of excellence in teaching.
APPOINTMENT TERMS
This is a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track position at the Storrs Campus. This position has an anticipated start date of August 23, 2025. There is potential that the position may extend beyond one year.
